The Wasa Lake Cottage Owners Association was formed to help represent recreational cottage owners who are not full time residents of Wasa Lake, B.C.. Over one half of the property owners surrounding Wasa Lake would fall into this category. The cottage owners are represented by the Wasa Lake Cottage Owners committee within the WLLID (Wasa Lake Land Improvement District). Environmental issues are included as items of interest for the cottage owners. The group has recently been created and consists of over fifty families as of July, 2007. The Wasa Lake Shoreline Cleanup is one activity scheduled for the fall of 2007.
