Mandate: The WLLID is a duly elected body that has letters of patent granted by the provincial government for water quality and quantity control of Wasa Lake. As such, it gives this community a political voice and right to question any activity that affects the lake.

Projects: Workshop 2003 - Wasa Lake Water in co-operation with the Living by Water Project; lake and well testing in co-operation with WLA; lake testing in co-operation with Interior Health; permit applications for foreshore alterations in co-operation with WLA; education with the community of Wasa regarding water issues.
