About the BCLSS
The primary mission of BCLSS is to act as a resource, communication, and information network among scientists, environmental professionals, lakeshore residents, the general public, First Nations, and government agencies in order to preserve, protect and restore lakes in British Columbia. The BCLSS programs include training courses that educates lake stewards on issues such as land-use impacts, lake ecology and limnology, as well as providing support to on-going stewardship activities that involves environmental monitoring, water quality management and the collection of vital data, essential information for the continuing preservation of healthy lakes throughout British Columbia.
